This valve contains a detent mechanism to provide a positive snap-action closure at the predetermined disaster rate of the valve. Its bore is not restricted by a flow bean. OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) refers to the piping products that are used in oil and gas production and drilling activities. OCTG pipe normally is manufactured based on API specifications. Oil country tubular goods (OCTG) is a family of seamless rolled products consisting of drill pipe, casing and tubing subjected to loading conditions according to their specific application. Tubing is the pipe placed in the well that is exposed to flowing fluids from the reservoir to surface. It is uncemented and able to pulled and replaced in the event the pipe erodes or corrodes. The T, T-CL, C-SRL-CL and CXS Tubing Hangers are all single completion, mandrel-type hangers for use in either the C Tubing Spool or the CD-2 Tubing Spool. T Tubing Hanger The T Tubing Hanger withstands stress of high pressure, corrosive/erosive elements associated with well flow. Its flexible neck maintains the metal seal despite thermal or pressure cycling. T-CL Tubing Hanger The T-CL Tubing Hanger withstands stress of high pressure, corrosive/erosive elements associated with well flow. C-SRL-CL Tubing Hanger The C-SRL-CL Tubing Hanger incorporates a pressure energized SRL neck seal which accommodates vertical movement in the tubing hanger during BOP testing. Storm Choke® K safety valves are ambient-type, wireline retrievable valves with the largest flow area of all direct controlled safety valves on the market. They are ideally suited for high-volume, low-pressure wells. These valves are normally closed and pre-charged with a set dome pressure. When the well flowing pressure drops below the predetermined dome-pressure charge because of a rupture in flowline or surface equipment, the dome pressure and main valve spring close the valve, shutting in the well below the earth’s surface. This valve contains a detent mechanism to provide a positive snap-action closure at the predetermined disaster rate of the valve. Its bore is not restricted by a flow bean. The valve is designed to resist pressure surges. A metal-to-metal poppet valve and seat comprise the valve’s primary closure mechanism. The K valve is ideal for protecting wells with declining bottomhole pressure. This valve closes in situations where a pressure decline would not activate a valve with a flow bean. To reopen the valve, the operator must fully equalize pressure either by applying pressure in the tubing from the surface or by an equalizing prong. The valve will reopen when the tubing pressure acting on the internal piston area overcomes the dome charge.
